CRIC has its official launch E-mail

Cambridge Ruskin International College (CRIC), had it’s Official Launch on the 12th of May 2009.

Cambridge Ruskin International College (CRIC), the result of an innovative partnership between Anglia Ruskin University and Navitas had its official launch on Tuesday 12th May 2009. The event was held in the historic and beautiful Ruskin Gallery on the university’s Cambridge campus. In attendance were the College’s own students, university staff, Navitas and college staff plus educational representatives.

The college was officially opened by Prof. Michael Thorne, Vice Chancellor of Anglia Ruskin University and Mrs Joanne Coward, Director and Principal of CRIC. Mr John Marshall, UK Financial Controller also addressed the gathering on behalf of Navitas who is a global organisation with colleges in eight countries, and a leader in the provision of university preparation courses for international students. Already home to 200 students from over 35 different countries since September, the CRIC launch forms part of Anglia Ruskin University’s ambitious internationalisation programme.

Vice Chancellor, Prof. Michael Thorne said: “Anglia Ruskin University’s new internationalisation strategy will see the University expand its activities on a truly global scale. Our partnership with CRIC provides students with an alternative path to university life and together we will enable students to come to Anglia Ruskin University from every corner of the globe.”
 

CRIC currently offers a range of Foundation, 1st Year Degree and Pre-Masters courses leading into over 80 different degrees at Anglia Ruskin University. With three intakes per year students can start when it suits them best and all courses offered lead directly to Anglia Ruskin programmes.

CRIC receives an A Rating
Another highlight for CRIC was the award of an A rating by the UKBA upon receipt of its Licence as an Approved Education Provider. This now enables international students to receive the maximum 30 points towards their student Visa. 
CRIC is currently accepting applications for its June/July 2009 intake.
